SHALLOW RECESS DEPTH In tight mounting situations, every millimetre counts for the right recess depth of a luminaire. ERCO has therefore developed luminaires with a shallow recess depth to provide excellent light quality in areas with limited installation space. SUITABLE FOR WORKPLACES ERCO develops luminaires on the premise of efficient glare control and high visual comfort. UGR values are provided as an orientation around the current standards. The lighting design particularly for downlights, however, should be based on the individual arrangement of the luminaires in the room rather than on standard values. Clear, simple and compact: Skim recessed luminaires combine unique aesthetics with superior quality of light, and that at an outstanding price to performance ratio. Designed to excel in effective illumination of offices, corridors, foyers and traffic zones in administration buildings, the versatile range masters applications in retail projects or hotels just as comfortably. Covering a diversity of sizes, lumen categories and distribution options, Skim is a compact point light that offers an aesthetic alternative to linear fluorescent luminaires. The specially developed lens system made of optical polymer provides efficient and homogeneous light with superior glare control, as the magic of the lens will have the observer fascinated. Depending on the light distribution, Skim ensures pleasant general lighting with wide luminaire spacing at an affordable price or else, ergonomic light with optimum glare control that complies with the lighting standards required for office workplaces. Skim luminaires are optionally available in black or white; the integrated mounting frame guarantees quick installation at low cost. LUMINAIRE ARRANGEMENT DOWNLIGHTS For optimum general lighting, the luminaire spacing (d) between two Skim downlights may, as a rough guide, be up to 1.5 times the height (h) of the luminaire above the working plane. ARRANGEMENT d ≤ 1.5 x h The wall offset should be half the luminaire spacing. ARRANGEMENT a = d / 2
