EXCELLENT VISUAL COMFORT The darklight reflector combines maximum visual comfort with an optimum light output ratio. DIFFERENT LIGHT DISTRIBUTIONS Different light distributions let you adjust the light to suit the task at hand. The options range from very narrow accentuation through to wide beam floodlighting and even wallwashing. SUITABLE FOR WORKPLACES ERCO develops luminaires on the premise of efficient glare control and high visual comfort. UGR values are provided as an orientation around the current standards. The lighting design particularly for downlights, however, should be based on the individual arrangement of the luminaires in the room rather than on standard values. COVERED OR FLUSH MOUNTING POSSIBLE All recessed luminaires are supplied with a covered mounting detail. Flush mounting frames are available as accessories. Quintessence recessed luminaires available in round and square versions set new standards in their sector: the high-performance family consisting of downlights, lens wallwashers and directional spotlights meets the high demands for visual comfort and efficiency, as well as high quality light for a multitude of visual tasks. The optical systems of the downlights and lens wallwashers achieve superb uniformity with good glare control. With a 90° beam angle and 40% cut-off, Quintessence downlights confidently illuminate large areas, providing uniform, efficient general lighting with wide luminaire spacing and high cylindrical illuminances. The 60° beam angle is ideal for rooms with high ceilings. In-house developed control gear guarantees uniform dimming behaviour of the ERCO lighting tools for dimming down to 1%. The shallow recess depth means that Quintessence has flexible uses. LUMINAIRE ARRANGEMENT DOWNLIGHTS For uniform ambient lighting with high visual comfort, the spacing (d) between two Quintessence downlights may be up to approximately 1.5 times the height (h) of the luminaire above the working plane. ARRANGEMENT d ≤ 1.5 x h The wall offset should be half the luminaire spacing. ARRANGEMENT a = d / 2
