OVAL FLOOD CAN BE FREELY ROTATED The Spherolit lens oval flood in round luminaire heads can be rotated freely for optimum adjustment of the lighting on different objects. IDEAL FOR CEILING CHANNELS The compact design and central pivot point predestine some luminaires for installation in ceiling channels. GIMBAL SUSPENSION The smallest change in the angle of tilt, particularly of luminaires mounted in high ceilings, has a huge effect on the beam position – a gimbal suspension system facilitates optimum alignment of the luminaires. SHALLOW RECESS DEPTH In tight mounting situations, every millimetre counts for the right recess depth of a luminaire. ERCO has therefore developed luminaires with a shallow recess depth to provide excellent light quality in areas with limited installation space. The principle of cardanic suspension with Gimbal recessed spotlights translates into an especially precise, comfortable swivel mechanism. It is not only more compact than standard versions, but the centre of the light unit maintains its position during alignment - as a result Gimbal is predestined as a tool for lighting concepts with ceiling channels. Gimbal is simply installed into ceiling constructions with ceiling channels thanks to its special mounting bracket. Several construction sizes and wattages for each light distribution create lively, nuanced and flexible lighting concepts. Applications are retail projects, hotels and restaurants as well as buildings where lighting designers plan discreet and effective lighting from ceiling channels or coves. LUMINAIRE ARRANGEMENT RECESSED SPOTLIGHTS Gimbal spotlights for ceiling channels accentuate products and architectural details effectively. The ideal angle of tilt (α) for this is around 30°. The object is modelled without distorting the effect as a result of excessive shadowing. It also prevents shadows cast by the observer. ARRANGEMENT α = 30°
