Description

When a fire occurs, preparedness is everything when seconds count. Where fires are unfortunately likely to occur, you will find rolling counter fire shutters and fire rated doors. Counter fire shutters are required to meet code anywhere a fire barrier or fire wall is needed. When a fire curtain or fire resistant wall is needed to prevent the spread off smoke or fire, fire shutter doors seal wall openings to compartmentalize any fire event. Our rolling fire shutters, combined with our AlarmGard fire system, provide a failsafe activation when integrated into the building fire alarm control panel or they may be simply be activated by local smoke detectors. When they are notified aby electric signal, they close at a safe and reliable rate. All Cornell drop down fire doors and counter fire shutters are UL labeled for up to 3 hours for superior separation and protection. Fire rated counter shutters are custom built to exact opening specifications using compact guides, slats, brackets and hoods for a smooth profile. When compact door components are desired, these rated shutters quickly and reliably close to the sill. UL labeled integral frame and sill units are available for 1½ hours. For a custom appearance and a quick install, slip-in units easily set into existing walls. For enhanced smoke protection, optional SmokeShield smoke and draft control conforms to UL1784 and assures that smoke will be compartmentalized with the fire and not spread quickly throughout the facility, allowing safe egress for occupants.
