DIFFERENT LIGHT DISTRIBUTIONS Different light distributions let you adjust the light to suit the task at hand. The options range from very narrow accentuation through to wide beam floodlighting and even wallwashing. DECORATIVE WALL/FAÇADE LIGHTING Striking lighting effects produced by narrow or wide beams create an eye-catching feature and divide up the façade. The ERCO system design includes a wide variety of lighting solutions with upward or downward beam emission. Accentuating historic façades with grazing light or structuring large sections of façade with light patterns are only some of the strengths displayed by Cylinder façade luminaires. The wide variety of distribution options includes direct, indirect and direct--indirect narrow or wide beams. For the purpose of conforming to the Dark Sky standard, the indirect distribution is inclined towards the façade to avoid spill light into the night sky. The direct distribution options include versions that pool the light in a semicircle on the ground or with a beam edge ending just before the façade. As a common denominator, all Cylinder façade luminaires produce the characteristic grazing light to emphasise textures on the façade. LUMINAIRE ARRANGEMENT FLOOR WASHLIGHTS Cylinder floor washlights with oval flood and spot light distribution, directed downward, provide subtle light for a glare-free and - with oval flood beam - uniform illumination of pathways near façades. The recommended mounting height (h) for floor washlights is 2m above the ground. ARRANGEMENT h = 2m For uniform washlighting of the ground with oval flood distribution, the luminaire spacing (d) should equal the mounting height (h). The luminaire spacing for visual guidance, for example with the spot light distribution, depends on the design criteria. ARRANGEMENT d = h
